Our projects

The projects below represent our current research initiatives, where we test and refine WaveHarvester technology in real-world environments.

Koshidaka Holdings

Turning noise into power, joy into sustainability.

Together with Koshidaka Holdings, one of Japan’s largest karaoke operators, we are showing how entertainment spaces can become a source of renewable energy.

Our WaveHarvester technology captures the sound and vibrations inside karaoke rooms and converts them into usable electricity. This energy is stored and used to power microphone chargers and other in-room devices proving that even noise can fuel a sustainable future.

For this project, our team is working directly on-site in Japan. We install and test the WaveHarvester systems in real karaoke rooms, ensuring that performance matches real-world conditions and user experience remains unchanged.

This collaboration is about more than technology. It is about demonstrating that sustainability can be built into everyday life  even in places designed for fun. By partnering with Koshidaka, we are taking an important step toward making energy harvesting a natural part of leisure, hospitality, and beyond.

once it's fully rolled out all over Japan they will be fully sustainable by generating 2.46 million KwH per year and around 657 tons of CO2 reduction making it the world's first fully green entertainment business in the world!

Haier Airconditioning

Smarter, quieter, and more efficient airconditioning

Air conditioning units are everywhere in homes, offices, and public spaces but they come with two big challenges:

they generate noise and they consume a lot of electricity. With our WaveHarvester technology, we turn both of these challenges into opportunities.

By integrating WaveHarvesters directly into the air conditioning system, we reduce noise levels by 5–8 decibels,

creating a more comfortable environment. At the same time, the very sound and vibration produced by the motor

are captured and converted into electricity. This harvested energy is fed back into the unit, making the air conditioner

itself more efficient and reducing its overall power consumption.

The result is a system that is not only quieter but also greener – lowering energy costs, cutting carbon emissions,

and improving user comfort at the same time.

With global leaders in air conditioning manufacturing, such as Haier, we see enormous potential

to bring this innovation to millions of households and businesses worldwide.

Turning turbine noise into clean power

With Osaka Gas Co. Ltd., LV Energy explored how turbine noise can be captured and reused. Our SonoCharge modules convert acoustic energy into electricity while simultaneously reducing turbine noise.

Together with Osaka Gas Co. Ltd., one of Japan’s leading energy providers, we explored how the constant noise of industrial gas turbines can be transformed into a valuable resource.

Using our SonoCharge technology, sound and vibration that would normally be wasted are captured and converted into electricity, while at the same time reducing the overall noise level. The result is a system that delivers energy savings, lowers emissions, and improves working conditions in one solution.

At scale, the impact is significant. With our SonoCharge units installed, the system can generate around 50–90 MWh of clean energy per year, turning turbine noise into a continuous source of renewable electricity. Noise levels are reduced by 3–8 dB(A) overall, with up to 12 dB reduction in specific frequency bands creating safer and more comfortable environments for staff on-site.

Because SonoCharge is modular, it can be deployed step by step to fit any plant or facility. Each unit adds both energy efficiency and noise reduction, making it a practical and scalable solution for industries worldwide.

Methodology & next steps

These results are based on feasibility simulations using turbine noise data from scientific literature. Actual performance depends on site measurements, layout, and tuning of the SonoCharge modules. The study recommends on-site acoustic surveys and pilot installation to validate energy output and noise reduction before large-scale rollout.

Brudden/Movement

WaveHarvester for treadmills – powering fitness with sound and motion

At LV Energy we believe that every movement and every sound can be turned into clean energy. That is why we have developed the WaveHarvester for treadmills.

Our system captures the vibrations of the treadmill during workouts, together with the surrounding noise in the fitness space. This energy is then converted and used to power the treadmill’s display and electronics.

The result is simple but revolutionary: no batteries, no power cord – just a fully self-sustaining treadmill.

Benefits for gyms and users

  • Completely green: each treadmill generates its own electricity through normal use.

  • No batteries: eliminates waste and maintenance costs.

  • Plug-free: more flexible placement of treadmills, without dependency on wall sockets.

  • Future-ready: show members and visitors that your gym leads the way in sustainable fitness innovation.

With WaveHarvester, fitness equipment is no longer just about health – it’s also about creating a healthier planet.

Hyundai factory

Powering factories with sound

Together with Hyundai, LV Energy is proving that factory noise can be turned into a valuable resource. In Hyundai’s production facilities, six heavy-duty 110 kW motors generate constant noise levels of up to 100 dB.

Our WaveHarvester panels capture this sound and vibration, converting it into clean electricity. In the proposed setup, our panels will be installed around the motors, producing renewable energy while also reducing noise levels by 2–12 decibels.

The result: greener factories, lower energy needs, and safer working conditions. This project with Hyundai demonstrates how industrial sound pollution can be transformed into power for a sustainable future

Harvesting power from noise

LV Energy has developed a custom acoustic and vibration energy harvester for one of our partners. The system captures the intense noise and vibration generated by six large cleaning extraction air filter units.

The outcome is striking: up to 1,800 volts of output, equal to around 2 kWh of clean electricity, powered entirely by sound.

Beyond producing renewable energy, the system also reduces noise levels, improves working conditions, and lowers the environmental footprint of industrial operations.

This project demonstrates how industrial noise can be turned into a valuable energy resource – supporting both sustainability goals and operational efficiency.

Music industry

Concert venues such as the Ziggo Dome experience enormous spikes in electricity demand during live shows. LV Energy’s WaveHarvester technology offers a way to ease this pressure: by capturing the sound energy of the audience and the music itself, and converting it back into usable electricity.

In doing so, venues can reduce peak energy demand, lower operational costs, and showcase their commitment to sustainable innovation. Turning the excitement of the crowd into green power not only supports the grid, it creates a new story for fans and performers alike: every cheer contributes to a cleaner future.

Who and how can LV Energy help?

This is just the beginning

The projects with these partners, and leading manufacturers all over the world shows what our WaveHarvester technology can do. But this is only part of the journey.

We are continuously developing new applications from household devices to large-scale industrial systems wherever noise and vibration can be transformed into clean, usable energy. Every environment has untapped potential. The question is: what could we unlock for you?

Let’s explore how LV Energy can help your business reduce energy costs, cut emissions, and lead in sustainability.
